We are excited to be establishing a new home in Whanganui supporting three flatmates to live happy meaningful lives. We are looking for people who are empathetic, passionate support workers. You will be part of a small team who are passionate about providing care, warmth and kindness to those who live and work in the home. The team will be providing a safe home environment where three flatmates can learn new skills, independence and build friendships with peers. You will be 'their person' to support them to interact with others in their community doing the activities they enjoy. Week 1: Thursday and Sunday 11pm until 7am the following day Week 2: Friday and Saturday 11pm until 7am the following day Applicants will be reviewed as they are received so these roles may close earlier if the right applicants are found.
$23.38 - $29.10
To be the right fit for this team you bring: A passion for people, be patient, friendly and kind Previous experience working as a Support Worker The ability to understand and connect with people who have communication challenges Professionalism, honesty and be a reliable team player with a flexible approach Energy, enthusiasm and enjoy being part of a team The ability to undertake personal cares when required Full NZ Driver Licence as part of your role will be driving a MASH van A NZ Certificate in Health & Wellbeing or commitment to working towards a qualification funded by MASH
